Concordia Men’s Tennis Ranked 10th in Most Recent ITA Division II Rankings

Skillman, N.J. – The Concordia College Clippers men's tennis team have been ranked No. 10 in the nation and No. 1 in the East Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in their March rankings. The rankings take into account only NCAA Division II member institutions.

The Clippers improved six positions after previously being ranked No. 16 in the nation last month. The ITA also released the first singles and doubles rankings of the spring in March with all players on the team receiving recognition.

Nationally, senior Andrey Boldarev (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) has been ranked the 10th singles player and junior Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) is ranked 14th. Concordia is one of four teams in Division II to have at least two singles rankings in the top-15. The duo of Boldarev and Piludu also were ranked 8th in doubles at the DII level.

Within the East Region the Clippers have the top-7 ranked singles players in DII. Boldarev is the 1st-ranked player while Piludu is the 2nd-ranked singles player.

Sophomore Tomasz Olfans (Opole, Poland) secured the No. 3 position while senior David Tisserand (Lyon, France) grabbed the No. 4 ranking. The No. 5 ranking went to sophomore Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania) while the sixth and seventh singles player rankings went to senior Andreas Lindell (Helsingborg, Sweden) and sophomore Juuso Ojanen (Varkaus, Finland). The 20th-ranked singles player was secured by sophomore Ricardo Frey (Curitiba, Brazil) as every player on the roster has a regional ranking.
