Bronxville, NY– Concordia’s men’s tennis team kept their fans on the edge of their seats again this past year with another season for the ages. The Clippers were looking to head back to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the fourth consecutive season while capturing their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship.
HOUSTON – Concordia College men’s and women’s head tennis coach Neil Tarangioli has been named the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) East Region Coach of the Year. A first time honoree of the award, Tarangioli led both teams to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship victories and NCAA Tournament appearances.
Skillman, NJ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its annual All-Academic Team awards and All-Scholar-Athlete awards with Concordia receiving multiple recognitions. Seven individual awards along with two team awards were earned by the Clippers’ men’s and women’s teams.
New Haven, CT - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has introduced its All-Academic Team for the 2012 spring athletic season today. A total of 105 student-athletes from the 14 conference schools have earned a place on the list, five more than those recognized last spring. Concordia is represented with seven student-athletes named to the team.
Skillman, NJ– Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American in singles on the Clippers’ men's tennis team. This is the fifth consecutive season in which Concordia has had a player named to the ITA’s All-America team on the men’s side. To be awarded the honor a player must finish the season in the Top 20 of the final Campbell/ITA National Rankings.
Bronxville, NY – The Concordia College Clippers men's tennis team have been ranked No. 15 in the nation and No. 1 in the East Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in their final rankings of the season. The rankings take into account only NCAA Division II member institutions.
