Clippers take down Devils 9-0

The Clippers continued their road trip in Philadelphia as they faced the Devils from the University of the Sciences. 

Andrey Boldarev and Daniele Piludu were pushed a little in their number one doubles match.  The match was tied at 5-5 before the Clipper pair was able to finish off their opponents for the Clippers first point of the team match.

Andreas Lindell and David Tisserand held court throughout their match as they easily collected an 8-0 win for the Clippers.

Ricardo Frey and Felix Missal let up just one game in their doubles match at the third flight.  With the 8-1 victory from Frey and Missal, the Clippers held a 3-0 lead in the team score.

Andrey Boldarev broke his opponent in the ninth game of the first set and then was bale to hold his serve for a first set win of 6-4.  Boldarev was able to break early and then hold his serve for the second set win of 6-3.

Daniele Piludu let just one game slip past for an easy 8-1 win at the number two singles flight. 

Tamas Dobrotka, hitting at the number three singles position, stayed steady through his match.  With a 6-1 first set victory, Dobrotka matched it once more in the second set for the Clippers sixth team point. 

Andreas Lindell, Ricardo Frey and Dane Ostilly all matched each other on scores as they collected the last three points of the Clipper sweep over the Devils.  With the first set, a love set (6-0) for each of them the second set each of their Devil opponents grabbed an early game before the Clippers finished them off with a 6-1 second set win.

The Clippers move to 11-2 overall and 3-0 in the CACC.  The Clippers will host Caldwell College this Wednesday, March 30th at 3:30pm.
