The Clippers Men's Tennis Team headed down to Florida for the NCAA Division II National Torunament.  After winning their regional bracket last week the team moved into the Sweet 16 and their opponent was set to be BYU-Hawai'i.

With doubles up first, the team was set and ready to go.  Andreas Lindell and Tamas Dobrotka immediately showed their dominance on court as the pair held court.  With one game to their opponent's name, Lindell and Dobrotka took the rest and won with the score of 8-1.

Felix Missal and Raphael Namias, playing at the number two position, were on serve through the first eight games.  With one break of their opponents serve, the Clippers pair went ahead.  Missal and Namias continued to stay ahead and took the match 8-4.

Alex Grubin and Andrey Boldarev went straight to work on court as they took their time with their opponent.  With a break the pair moved ahead.  As Grubin and Boldarev wer up 7-4 with one game their west coast opponent gained another game.  Grubin and Boldarev closed the door in the next game on Grubin's serve with four straight points to give them an 8-5 win.

With the Clippers up 3-0, the singles matches would be the deciding factor.

With his quick play, Andreas Lindell was up in his first set before the others could get through three games.  Lindell went up immediately in the first set 5-0.  With the first set coming to a close for Lindell he slipped and surrendered a game before bringing the set to a finish with a 6-1 win.  Set number two Lindell continued his dominance as he went up 3-0 to start the set.  With his opponent gaining his next two service games Lindell then broke his opponent once more to claim the fourth point for the Clippers with a 6-2 second set win.

Tamas Dobrotka, playing at the number five spot, also wasted no time on court.  After staying on serve through four games in the first set Dobrotka stepped up and broke his opponent's next two service games to go ahead in the match with a first set score of 6-2.  The second set Dobrotka again stayed on serve through four games before moving in for the kill.  With two more service breaks Dobrotka notched a 6-2 second set win and the Clippers moved back to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Tournament.

The Clippers will face off against St. Edward's tomorrow at 1:00pm.
