Men's Soccer Ends Season with 1-0 Defeat at Nyack

NYACK, N.Y. - The Concordia Clippers men's soccer team concluded their schedule on Wednesday evening at Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. Concordia was unable to capture the road victory as the Warriors secured a 1-0 win.

Nyack scored the game's only goal in the 10th minute of action off a rebounded shot. The Clippers would put four of their 13 shots on net during the game, but none were able to get past the Warriors' goalkeeper.

Freshman goalkeeper Carlos Penaherrera (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) recorded one save for Concordia in the first 45 minutes of action as sophomore Jaime Gonzalez (Madrid, Spain) finished the final 45 minutes and didn't face a shot. The Clippers were out-shot 14-13 overall in the game as Concordia held an 8-4 advantage in corner kick opportunities.

The Clippers (4-10-1, 2-9-1 CACC) have concluded their regular season schedule and did not qualify for the CACC Championship Tournament. Be sure to check back for postseason awards and a season wrap up in the upcoming future on ConcordiaClippers.com.
