Clippers Men's Soccer Upended at Jefferson, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA - The Concordia Clippers men's soccer team traveled to Jefferson University on Saturday for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at Ravenhill Field. Concordia was held scoreless in the game as the Rams took a 3-0 victory.

Jefferson scored their first goal of the game in the 34th minute as the Clippers were out-shot 9-6 in the first 45 minutes of play. The Rams added their second goal in the 55th minute and added their final goal in the 59th minute as Concordia took only two shots in the second half.

The Clippers were out-shot 27-8 overall in the game as Jefferson also held a 7-2 advantage in corner kick opportunities. Sophomore goalkeeper Jaime Gonzalez (Madrid, Spain) recorded 12 saves for Concordia, a new career-high.

The Clippers (2-8-0, 1-7-0 CACC) will take a brake from their conference schedule to visit Queens (N.Y.) on Tuesday afternoon.
