Osso Reveals Men’s Golf 2019 Schedule

2019 Men's Golf Schedule

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Concordia College New York head men's golf coach Nicholas Osso released the programs fall 2019 schedule on Friday, featuring five events with each set in a different state.

"I am looking forward to getting off to a strong start this season," Osso said. "We are playing two more events this season than we did last year before the CACC Championship to get up going. Experience will be key this season as we are very talented, but young."

The men's golf team returns to the links for the first time since the 2019 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Atlantic/East Super Regional at the Glade Springs Intercollegiate from Saturday, Sept. 14 through Monday, Sept. 16 at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W. Va. A week later, the Clippers trek to Canterbury, N.H. for the Penmen Fall Invitational from Sunday, Sept. 22 through Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The final warmup before the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship takes the Clippers to uncharted territory, as the program plays its first event in Va., via the Griffin Invitational at the Country Club of Petersburg. The event, hosted by Saint Leo University, begins on Sunday, Sept. 29 and continues through Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Dominican College is the host of the CACC Men's Golf Championship, set to begin on Sunday, Oct. 6 at White Beeches Country Club in Haworth, N.J., with play concluding on Tuesday, Oct. 8. It is the second-straight event that sees the men's golf team playing in a new state, as the program has never participated in an event in The Garden State.

The 2019 fall slate wraps up at the Le Moyne College Fall Invitational, beginning on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Lake Shore Yacht and Country Club in Cicero, N.Y., with the final round on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The men's golf team recorded four top-three finishes during the 2018-19 season, qualifying for the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional for the eighth time in program history.
