Men’s Golf Places 11th At Penmen Fall Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. – The Concordia College (N.Y.) men's golf team saw improvements on the second day of the Penmen Fall Invitational, recording a 302 (+22) score in the final round to finish play in 11th with a final tally of 607 (+47).

NOTES
• The Penmen Fall Invitational featured 76 individuals from 13 programs.

• Laval University recorded a day-low 281 (+1) score to claim the team title with a final score of 561 (+1). Franklin Pierce and Dominican College (N.Y.) rounded out the top-three with final scores of 579 (+19) and 581 (+21)

• Matt Paradis from Southern New Hampshire used a 69 (-1) second round outing to finish atop the individual leaderboard with a cumulative score of 138 (-2).

• Concordia finished ahead of St. Anselm College and Adelphi, who recorded scores of 610 (+50) and 638 (+78)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Tyler Lanza (New Milford, Conn.) dropped his score by two strokes in the second round, sporting a 74 (+4) card to finish tied for 36th with a team-low 150 (+10) overall score.

• Sophomore Santiago Luna (Bogota, Columbia) shaved a team-best three strokes on the second day of play, shooting a 74 (+4) to finish tied for 41st with senior Kanoon Bunthanawong (Chonburi, Thailand) with a 151 (+11) final tally.

• Sophomore Minwoo Park (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) posted a 78 (+8) in the second round to finish tied for 53rd with a 155 (+15) mark.

• Freshman Gabe Goodman (Lakewood, Colo.) rounded out the Clippers with a 79 (+9) score on the day to tie for 62nd with a 157 (+17) final score.

UP NEXT
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships await the Clippers, with the first round at the Deerfield Country Club in Newark, Del. Starting on Saturday, Sept. 29.
