Park’s Hole-in-One Highlights Second Round of NCAA Division II Men’s Golf National Championship for Concordia

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Concordia College freshman Minwoo Park (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) recorded a hole-in-one on the ninth hole at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals, Fighting Joe Course on Tuesday in the second round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship Tournament. Park, who is in the tournament as an individual participant, shot a 74 (+2) to give him a two-day total of 149 (+5) and currently sits T-52nd overall in the field of 108 participants.

He began his round with back-to-back pars before recording a birdie on the third hole and a double bogey on the fourth hole. Minwoo would birdie the sixth to get back to even par, but on the eighth hole would triple bogey. He would put the hole behind him as he recorded the hole-in-one on the par-three ninth hole from 190 yards. It is Park's first hole-in-one in a collegiate event.

On the back nine, Minwoo would bogey the 10th hole, then followed with a birdie. Three straight pars would follow before another birdie on the 15th hole to get back to even-par. Park would par the 16th, double bogey 17, then conclude with a par on the 18th hole to conclude his round.
