Clippers Men’s Golf Earns Team and Individual Wins at Jefferson Tri-Match

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – Senior Chartpetch Bangpetch (Chonburi, Thailand) led the Concordia College men's golf program to a team victory against Jefferson University and Delaware Valley University in a tri-match at The ACE Club to conclude their regular season schedule on Wednesday. Bangpetch and sophomore Tyler Lanza (New Milford, Conn.) would tie for the individual medalist as Lanza participated as an individual in the one-day event.

As a team the Clippers finished with a 294 (+6), while Jefferson was second with a 343 (+55), and Delaware Valley was third with a 350 (+62).

Bangpetch and Lanza each carded a 71 (-1) at the par-72 course as Concordia placed all of their players at the top of the leaderboard. Junior Kanoon Bunthanawong (Chonburi, Thailand) would also participate as an individual as he shot a 72 (E) as did freshman Santiago Luna (Bogota, Colombia).

Freshman Minwoo Park (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) shot a 75 (+3), while junior Evan Hong (Houston, Texas) carded a 76 (+4), and senior Mark Kilpatrick (Cheshire, England, United Kingdom) rounded out the scores for the Clippers with a 77 (+5). The next nearest competitor on the leaderboard would be Delaware Valley's Colton Lesh who shot an 83 (+11).

Concordia will now wait until Friday, April 27th for the NCAA to announce the participants in the NCAA Atlantic / East Super Regionals. The announcement will be made on NCAA.com via a press release at 6 p.m. If the Clippers are selected they will visit The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W. Va. for the three-day event beginning on Monday, May 7th.
