Concordia Captures Win at Philadelphia Invitational

Lafayette Hill, PA - The Concordia College Clippers men's golf team was back on the course on Monday following their two-round tournament over the weekend. The Clippers played in the one-day Philadelphia U. Invitational at The ACE Club. In the three-team field, Concordia finished in first place with a total of 334.

Eutimio Fernandez-Meade (Mexico City, Mexico) led the entire field with a 9-over 81on the Par 72 course. Sam Deitte (St. Louis, MO) tied for second with an 11-over 83 as Kyle Grandilli (Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada) finished one stroke behind with an 84.

Jeffrey Schaller (Kingston, NY) ended his round with an 86 and Will Deitte (St. Louis, MO) rounded out the Clippers' scores with a 90. Concordia ended the tournament with a seven stroke advantage over the Rams who finished with a 341; Chestnut Hill finished third with a 394. The event marked the Clippers' fourth victory of the year.

Concordia will next participate in the Peter King Invitational at the Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead, NY this Saturday and Sunday.
