Clippers Begin Spring Schedule with Top-10 Performance

Ocean City, MD – The Concordia College Clippers men's golf team played in their first spring tournament this past weekend. The Clippers participated in the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational at the Rum Pointe Golf Club finishing with an overall score of 631 in the two-day event. Concordia tied for ninth out of the 14-team field.

Sam Deitte (St. Louis, MO) led the Clippers with a team-best 2-over 146 as he finished tied for fifth in a field of over 70 individual players. Eutimio Fernandez-Meade (Mexico City, Mexico) earned a top-10 finish with an 8-over 152.

Jeffrey Schaller (Kingston, NY) and Kyle Grandilli (Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada) ended the tournament with a 160 and 173, respectively. Will Deitte (St. Louis, MO) withdrew from the tournament prior to the second round after shooting a 1-over 73 in the opening round.

Concordia will next participate in the Philadelphia University Invitational at The ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, PA on Monday, March 26th.
