John Cavaliere is entering his 3rd season as Head Coach of the men's basketball program in 2020-21 after serving as the Associate Head Cocah for the 2017-18 season and as an Assistant Coach four seasons prior to that.

Under his guidance, Concordia has had one Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Conference honoree and one CACC All-Academic recipient

Cavaliere led the men's basketball program on an interim basis for the final 13 games of the 2017-18 season as he helped the Clippers to a 7-6 record during that span which included winning the final four games of the season.

Cavaliere’s rise to Head Coach has come from his extraordinary high levels of dedication to the men’s basketball program. Cavaliere has been a main contributor to the program’s on-court growth.

Cavaliere has had several stops prior to Concordia in the basketball world which has influenced his desire to coach. Cavaliere has worked within the Philadelphia 76ers organization in the youth camp program. This position allowed for Cavaliere to interact with professional athletes. Cavaliere also was a scout for NetScouts Basketball where watching some of basketball’s best coaches inspired him to pursue a career in coaching.

Cavaliere, who currently resides in Thornwood, N.Y., also works as an administrator for Soul Cycle.
