BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Redshirt-senior guard Cedrick McFadden (Washington, D.C.) was honored Wednesday evening before the start of the Concordia College New York men's basketball team's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest against regionally-ranked Dominican College (N.Y.) for scoring his 1,000 collegiate point in the Clippers' last outing and added a personal-record 29 points to his career total, but an 11-2 stretch early in the second half for the visiting Chargers gave the CACC North-Division leader a lead they never let go of in a 92-83 setback.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• McFadden added a team-high five assists and one steal.
• Sophomore guard Jared Young (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) fell one-point shy of matching his career-high in scoring, set at Dominican early this season, with 17 points while recording a team-high four steals.
• Sophomore forward Alex White Jr. (Middletown, Conn.) pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds with two blocks.
• For Dominican, Daniel Grant recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds on top of a team-high six assists while Daraja Rodwell scored 23 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Concordia scored the opening seven points of the contest with White Jr. McFadden and senior guard Jayson Cethoute (Queens, N.Y.) all scoring before Dominican got on the scoreboard with 17:07 remaining in the half.
• Dominican used a 6-2 stretch to make it a one-possession game at 9-6, and kept it there at 11-8 before a 6-0 Concordia run extended the separation to nine at 17-8 with 12:01 remaining in the half.
• Concordia kept the nine-point at 19-10 off a sophomore guard Baron Goodridge (Bronx, N.Y.) jumper before back-to-back baskets for Dominican made it 19-14 with 10:12 remaining in the half.
• Young ended the rally on a layup, with the two sides splitting the ensuing 10 points before an 8-4 stretch made it a one-possession game at 30-27 with 6:10 remaining in the half.
• The Clippers added a cushion to its lead off a freshman forward Devon Sims (Centreville, Va.) basket and two Goodridge free throws, but a 7-0 response by the visitors evened the score at 34-all with 4:14 to go in the half.
• Young responded on the ensuing possession with a triple, which McFadden mimicked after Dominican knotted the score at 40-all with 1:02 left in the half to give the Clippers a 43-40 halftime lead.
• Following a Cethoute dunk to start the second half, Dominican used a 9-0 run to take the lead at 49-45 with 16:58 to go in the contest.
• Senior guard Michael Demello (White Plains, N.Y.) cut the visitors lead in half with a layup, with the Clippers knotting the score at 54-all before a 6-0 Chargers' run gave the Chargers a 60-54 advantage with 10:09 to play.
• Concordia ended the run with a free throw, and kept the separation at five until a 5-0 run by the visitors created a double-digit deficit at 72-62 with 6:45 to play.
• Still trailing by 10 at 81-71, a triple from senior forward Stephen Milhaven (Port Washington, N.Y.) sparked an 8-1 rally that cut the deficit to three at 82-79 with 1:34 to go.
• Both sides connected on jump shots to keep the three-point separation before a 6-0 run propelled the Chargers to a 90-81 edge with 10 seconds remaining.
• McFadden set his new career-high off a layup with under five seconds remaining, while a pair of Dominican free throws created the final score.

• The Clippers converted on 29-74 shots, going 9-28 from three-point territory and 16-20 from the free throw line.
• Dominican finished 24-57 from the field, 8-22 from distance and 36-42 from the free throw line.
