ROCKVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College (N.Y.) men's basketball team and Molloy College went back-and-forth on Tuesday evening with the lead changing hands 20 times and 11 tied scores, with the final tie coming in the final minute before a last-second basket by the host propelled the Lions to an 88-86 victory.

• Concordia falls to 2-4.
• Molloy improves to 2-3.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Senior forward Stephen Milhaven (Port Washington, N.Y.) recorded his second-straight double-double and third of the young season behind 30 points and 11 rebounds.
• Redshirt-senior guard Cedrick McFadden (Washington, D.C.) scored 18 points with five assists and five rebounds.
• Sophomore forward Alex White Jr. chipped in 12 points while sparking the defense with three blocks and a steal.
• For Molloy, Nick Corbett scored 25 points while Billy Muller pulled down 12 rebounds and Mike Torre and Josh Dennis both tallied three assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The two sides split the opening 10 points for a 5-5 score with Milhaven connecting on a triple and White Jr. scoring a layup for Concordia.
• Molloy used a jumper a triple sandwiching a junior guard Brandon Fields (Washington, D.C.) three pointer to take a 10-8 lead with 16:49 left in the half before a Milhaven three pointer and two White Jr. free throws flipped the advantage in the Clippers' favor at 13-10 with 15:15 remaining in the half.
• Concordia made it a two-possession game at 16-12 off a senior guard Michael Demello (White Plains, N.Y.) three pointer and again at 19-15 after an and-one by McFadden with 12:57 to play only for a 6-2 stretch for the hosts evening the score at 21-21 with 11:22 to go in the half.
• A Milhaven layup broke the even score, but a Molloy three pointer propelled the Lions to a 24-23 advantage with 10:48 remaining. Neither side scored consecutive baskets over the ensuing four minutes, but five three pointers for the hosts during the stretch extended the separation to six at 41-35.
• Trailing by a game-high seven at 47-40 with 5:22 remaining the half, Concordia used six points from Milhaven in a 9-0 run to take a 49-47 lead with 3:47 to go. Molloy ended the spree with a layup, with both sides making two free throws before the half ended to make it 51-all at halftime.
• The two sides split the opening 48 points of the second half with neither team leading by more than three and 11 lead changes during the stretch before a layup and dunk by Molloy created a 79-75 lead with 5:58.
• A Milhaven layup and back-to-back free throws from Demello quickly evened the score at 79-all with 4:47 to play, with Milhaven responded to a three-point play by Molloy with a triple to knot it up at 82-82 with 3:30 remaining.
• Molloy recreated its largest lead of the half off back-to-back baskets to take 68-62 lead with 1:31 remaining, with four-straight points by McFadden tying the score for the sixth time of the second half with 37 ticks remaining.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 31-67 shots, going 9-18 from three-point territory and 15-20 from the free throw line.
• Molloy finished 35-77 from the field, 11-25 from distance and 7-11 from the free throw line.
• Concordia recorded 13 assists versus 17 for the host.
• Molloy held a 45-39 advantage in rebounds.
• Concordia had nine turnovers, resulting in 14 Molloy points. The Lions had seven turnovers, leading to three points for Concordia.
• Both sides got 15 points from its bench.
• Concordia recorded three steals with four blocks while Molloy stole the ball three times with as many blocks.
