OLD WESTRBURY, N.Y. – Sophomore forward Alex White Jr. (Middletown, Conn.) recorded his first collegiate double-double on Sunday afternoon at the New York Institute of Technology, propelling the Concordia College (N.Y.) men's basketball team to a 60-54 victory over the host Bears.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Redshirt-senior guard Cedrick McFadden (Washington, D.C.) paced the offense with 18 points on top of nine rebounds and three assists.
• White Jr. pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds with 10 points to go with a pair of blocks and two steals.
• Sophomore guard Baron Goodridge (Bronx, N.Y.) dished out a team-high four assists.
• For NYIT, Zahir Porter scored 17 points while Collins Onyeike recorded 10 rebounds, four blocks and three steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Concordia jumped out to an early 6-2 lead with 18:08 remaining in the half off a pair of baskets from junior forward Anthony Barns (Bowie, Md.) and a layup from White Jr.
• The two sides traded triples with McFadden scoring for the Clippers to keep the four-point separation before a 5-0 run by the hosts made it 10-9 with 13:03 to go.
• A freshman forward Devon Sims (Centerville, Va.) layup flipped the one-point advantage in Concordia's favor at 11-10, but an 11-0 run for the Bears created a double-digit separation at 21-11 with 9:56 remaining.
• Concordia quickly erased the deficit behind a 13-0 run with McFadden, White Jr., junior guard Brandon Fields (Washington, D.C.) and junior forward Jesse Breeding (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) all contributing to give the Clippers a 24-21 lead with 6:45 remaining.
• NYIT ended the run with a layup and reclaimed the lead off a triple to hold a 26-24 advantage with 3:21 to go in the half.
• Six-straight points for the Clippers off baskets from senior guard Michael Demello (White Plains, N.Y.), Barnes and McFadden propelled Concordia to a 30-26 lead, with NYIT ending the half with four of the final six points to create a 32-20 halftime score in favor of the visitors.
• The hosts scored the opening basket of the second half, with the two sides splitting the ensuing 18 points without either side holding a lead greater than three during the stretch to keep the score knotted at 41-all with 13:19 remaining.
• Concordia ended the back-and-forth action with a 7-0 run off baskets from Breeding and Goodridge plus a three-point play by Sims to take a 48-41 advantage with 9:42 to play.
• NYIT evened the score at 52-52 with 3:09 to play behind an 11-4 stretch. McFadden put Concordia back on top with a pair of free throws, making it 54-52 with 2:52 to play.
• White Jr. made it a two-possession contest off a jump shot to make it 56-52 with 1:07 to play, with the Clippers outscoring NYIT 5-2 over the final minute of play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 21-60 shots, going 2-13 from three-point territory and 17-25 from the free throw line.
• NYIT finished 19-66 from the field, 6-27 from distance and 10-21 from the free throw line.
• Concordia dished out eight assists versus 12 for the hosts.

• Concordia' bench scored 17 points while NYIT got 32 from its bench.
