Impeduglia Named To CACC Baseball All-Academic Team

2019 CACC Baseball All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its baseball All-Academic Team on Wednesday afternoon, with junior outfielder/pitcher Joseph Impeduglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) representing Concordia College New York on the team.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term, minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, be second year student-athlete at member institution and have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.

A Business Administration major, Impeduglia held a 3.59 cumulative GPA following the Fall 2018 semester.

It is his second honor from the league office this postseason, garnering CACC All-Conference Second Team Distinction after leading the Clippers' offense behind 40 RBI, 35 walks, seven home runs and a .522 slugging percentage while sitting second on the team with 49 hits, 39 runs scored and 11 doubles on top of a .443 on base percentage that finished third. Impeduglia is one of four student-athletes to land on both the baseball All-Conference and All-Academic teams in 2019.

Impeduglia becomes the fourth member of the baseball program to repeat as an All-Academic Team honoree, and can join Christopher Motta as the only other three-time recipient with one more year of eligibility.

Concordia ended the 2019 campaign with a 13-34 overall record, going 8-24 in conference play.
