UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Junior designated hitter Joseph Impeduglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) paced the offense on Saturday with multiple hits, RBI and runs scored in each game of the Concordia College New York baseball team's doubleheader, with freshman right-handed pitcher Sean Malamud (Staten Island, N.Y.) stifling host Molloy College on the mound in the second game to lead the Clippers to a 13-6 victory after falling in the opener 17-10.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS (GAME 1)
• Impeduglia went 2-4 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk.
• Sophomore second baseman Blake Burgan (Holbrook, N.Y.) went 2-5 with both hits going for extra bases via a double and triple while adding two RBI and one run scored.
• Sophomore catcher Josh Corredor (St. Cloud, Fla.) went 1-3 with two RBI and one runs scored.
• Sophomore first baseman Hermes Abreu (Bayshore, N.Y.) went 1-3 with two runs scored and two walks.
• Senior RHP Raymond Rosado (Brooklyn, N.Y.) received the loss after allowing eight runs off six hits.
• Junior RHP Michael Romano (Yonkers, N.Y.) held Molloy off the scoreboard for the final 2.1 innings.
• For Molloy, Matt Overton went 4-6 with three RBI while Chris Peralta and Michael Wall both hit home runs. On the mound, Anthony Pedraita received the victory while James Murphy logged 6.0 innings.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1)
• Leading off the afternoon with three-straight walks for sophomore center fielder Nick Vlahakis (Oceanside, N.Y.), Impeduglia and senior shortstop Tyler Epple (Levittown, N.Y.) with no outs, a wild pitch for Molloy scored the opening run of the contest before a one-out single from Corredor platted Epple and Impeduglia to create a 3-0 score. A sacrifice fly from third baseman John Calabrese (Lodi, N.J.) scored Corredor, while five-consecutive hits from Burgan, senior left fielder Jaylin Martinez (Paramus, N.J.), Vlahakis, Impeduglia and Eplle scored four runs to boast an early 9-0 advantage.
• Molloy used a one-out solo home run from Peralta and two-out RBI double from Sean Hogan in the bottom of the first to make it 9-2.
• Reaching base with a walk, Abreu touch home plate on a Burgan triple in the top of the second to extend the separation to 10-2.
• Molloy got its first four batters on base to start the bottom of the second with all four Lions scoring via a two-run homer from Wall, an Overton double and Thomas Bradly sacrifice fly to make it 10-6.
• Loading the bases with one out via three-consecutive walks, Molloy evened the score in the bottom of the third off back-to-back-to-back hits from Peralta, Overton and Brady with a Jake Saltzman triple scoring two runs while Jacob McCarthy and Michael Wall both sent a runner home off a single and double to create a 14-10 lead.
• Molloy used a single, triple and double from James Messina, Peralta and Overton back-to-back-to-back in the bottom of the fourth to add two runs to its lead at 16-10.
• Brady drove the final run of the contest home in the bottom of the sixth on a two-out single, platting Messina and making it 17-10.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE (GAME 1)
• Concordia tallied 13 hits with each batter in the starting lineup tallying a hit for the second-consecutive game while the Lions had 18.
• The Clippers left nine runners on base, Molloy stranded eight.
• Neither side committed an error.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS (GAME 2)
• Impeduglia went 2-4 with his third home run of the season, a career-high four RBI, two runs scored and one walk.
• Junior second baseman Kendell Luquis (New Rochelle, N.Y.) went 2-3 with a career-high three runs scored and one walk.
• Epple went 2-5 with two runs scored and a RBI.
• Abreu went 2-3 with one run scored, one RBI and one walk.
• Freshman right fielder Matt Rinaldi (Eastchester, N.Y.) went 2-5 with two RBI and one run scored.
• Burgan went 1-3 with two RBI, one run scored and one walk.
• Malamud earned the victory after allowing two runs, one earned, off five hits with four strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work.
• For Molloy, Overton went 2-4 with a pair of doubles and one run scored while Patrick Kenendy tossed 3.0 scoreless frames.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2)
• With two outs in the top of the first, Epple kept the stanza alive with a single before a double from Rinaldi platted Epple and Abreu base hit sent Rinaldi round the bases to create a 2-0 lead.
• Concordia capitalized on a two-out error from Molloy in the top of the second to score senior first baseman Andrew Medina (Brentwood, N.Y.), adding two base hits from Impeduglia and Rinaldi sandwiching an Epple double to score Luquis, Impeduglia and Epple to boast a 6-0 advantage.
• Molloy loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the second off a pair of hits and a walk, with a walk for Marino scoring Brady before a wild pitch allowed Hogan to touch home plate and two RBI single from Messina made it 6-4.
• Concordia added to its lead in the top of the third with Luquis reaching base via a single and scoring on a wild pitch to extend the separation to 7-4.
• Leading off the bottom of the third with a double, Overton touched home plate off a two-out single from McCarthy to make it 7-5.
• Getting a pair of runners on base via walks, Burgan sent both Abreau and Medina home on a two-out double in the top of the fourth before a Vlahakis single platted Burgan and a home run from Impeduglia scored Luquis and Vlahakis to create a 13-5 lead.
• Molloy cut into the separation in the bottom of the seventh, getting Peralta on base with a single before scoring off a wild pitch to create the final score.
