About the Clippers
Concordia (4-9) plays its final non-conference contests of the season after Mercy College matched the Clippers' two-out RBI single in the top of the ninth with one of its own in the bottom half of the stanza in an 8-7 setback on Tuesday, Mar. 12.

The Clippers are hitting .276 (123-446) with a .374 slugging percentage off the strength of 20 doubles six triples and four home runs while tallying 74 RBI and 62 walks with 29 stolen bases. Senior outfielder Andre Jackson (Massapequa, N.Y.) leads five batters hitting over. 300 with a .524 average, adding two doubles, a triple and home run for a .857 slugging percentage. Junior outfielder Joseph Impeduglia (Staten Island, N.Y.), junior second baseman Kendell Luquis (New Rochelle, N.Y.), sophomore catcher Josh Corredor (St. Cloud, Fla.) and sophomore shortstop Blake Burgan (Holbrook, N.Y.) all tie for eighth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with three doubles while six Clippers have one triple and Impeduglia ties for third in the league with two home runs. Sophomore outfielder Jake Partridge (Bardonia, N.Y.) and freshman outfielder Matt Rinaldi (Eastchester, N.Y.) tie for fourth in the CACC with six stolen bases while Partridge ties for second in the league with 14 runs scored and Rinaldi adds 13 RBI that ties for second in the conference.

On the mound, Concordia sports a team ERA of 5.95, second-best in the CACC, with the fourth-most strikeouts within the league at 90 to go with 51 walks in 112.0 innings. Junior RHP Michael Romano (Yonkers, N.Y.) logs a team-leading 16.1 innings, tied for seventh in the conference, over three starts with a team-best 3.86 ERA and one win while fellow junior righty Enrico Locascio (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Connor Stapleton (Staten Island, N.Y.) plus freshman righty Logan Vallias (East Northport, N.Y.) all tie for the team lead with 12 strikeouts with Locascio and Vallias both having a win. Freshmen RHP Sean Malamud (Staten Island, N.Y.) also has a win, with junior RHP Patrick Rivera (Elmont, N.Y) making a team-high six appearances.

Molloy (1-9) welcomes Concordia for its home opener after ending play at the Barry University Invitational with a 3-0 loss to American International College on Wednesday, Mar. 13.

The Lions are hitting .264 (15-307) as a team with a .339 slugging percentage coming from 11 doubles and four home runs while tallying 35 RBI and 35 walks. Chris Peralta paces the offense behind a .310 batting average on top of a team-high five stolen bases while Jake Saltzman records a team-leading eight RBI and two home runs.
