MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Senior center fielder Andre Jackson (Massapequa, N.Y.) recorded his third-straight multi-hit outing of the young season on Sunday afternoon with one going over the outfield wall, but a seven home run outing from the University of New Haven powered the Chargers past the Concordia College New York baseball team, 14-7.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Jackson went 3-5 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base.
• Freshman right fielder Matt Rinaldi (Eastchester, N.Y.) went 2-4 in his collegiate debut with two runs scored and a walk.
• Senior shortstop Tyler Epple (Levittown, N.Y.) went 2-4 with a run scored, RBI and walk.
• Sophomore catcher Hermes Abreu (Bayshore, N.Y.) went 2-4 with a RBI and walk.
• On the mound, junior RHP Joseph Impeduglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) allowed eight runs off nine hits in 4.0 innings with three strikeouts in the loss.
• For New Haven, Hunter Boag boasted three home runs while going 5-5 with Andrew Garcia chipping in two homers with one double while Matt Chamberlain and Dylon Grzenda both added a home run.
• Thomas Eletto earned the victory for New Haven.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Concordia took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first off back-to-back-to-back singles from Rinaldi, Epple and Abreu for Rinaldi's first collegiate run scored.
• New Haven evened the score in the top of the second with a two-out solo home run from Boag.
• After retiring the opening two batters of the top of third, a pair of two-run homers from Garcia and Boag propelled the Chargers to a 5-1 lead.
• Beginning the bottom of the third with a walk, Rinaldi rounded the bases for the second time on a two-out home run from Jackson to make it 5-3.
• New Haven capitalized on a Clippers error in the top of the fourth to get James Myers on base, with the Charger rounding the bases followed by a two-RBI home run from Garcia to extend the separation to 8-3.
• A one-out solo home run from Chamberlain in the top of the sixth added to New Haven's lead at 9-3.
• Concordia cut into the deficit in the bottom of the sixth, starting the frame with a single from Jackson followed by senior first baseman Andrew Medina (Brentwood, N.Y.) reaching base on an error with both Clippers touching home plate off the Chargers' error and a sacrifice fly from junior second baseman Kendell Luquis (New Rochelle, N.Y.) to make it 9-5.
• A leadoff home run from Boag in the top of the seventh created a 10-5 lead for New Haven.
• Loading the bases in the bottom of the seventh with no outs off walks for Epple and Abreu plus a single from Jackson, Epple scored to make it 10-6.
• Luquis touched home plate in the bottom of the eighth off a two-out single from Epple to make it 10-7.
• Leading off the top of the ninth with a solo home run from Gonzonia, New Haven added four runs to create the final score.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Concordia tallied a season-high 11 hits while the Charges had 23.
• The Clippers left nine runners on base, New Haven stranded 11.
• Both sides committed one error.
