Everett Unveils 2019 Baseball Schedule

2019 CONCORDIA BASEBALL SCHEDULE

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Concordia College New York head baseball coach Craig Everett released the baseball team's 2019 schedule on Thursday, featuring trips to South Carolina and Florida plus a full 32-game Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) slate.

"I am looking forward to the 2019 season," Everett said. "We will be heading south twice this year to play against some of the top programs in the country. We have challenging non-conference games in-state after the trips to get us prepared for the start of CACC competition, which is always a grind playing 32 conference games."

The Clippers begin the campaign in Myrtle Beach, S.C., taking on the New York Institute of Technology, LIU Post plus Collegiate Baseball preseason-ranked Southern New Hampshire University and University of New Haven from Friday, Feb. 22 to Sunday, Feb. 24.

Following the season-opening trip, Concordia travels to the Sunshine State for eight games between Sunday, Mar.3 and Saturday, Mar. 9. Stonehill College, Queens College (N.Y.), Lynn University, Bloomfield College and Southern Conn. State all await Concordia during their Florida trip.

After road contests at Mercy on Tuesday, Mar. 12 and three-game weekend series at Molloy over Saturday, Mar. 16 and Sunday, Mar. 17, Concordia begins CACC play with a doubleheader at Bloomfield on Wednesday, Mar. 20, with the Bears coming to town to conclude the home-and-home CACC North Division series on Friday, Mar. 22 in the Clippers' home opener.

Other home CACC doubleheaders include Post University (Mar. 26), University of the Sciences (Mar. 30), Dominican College (N.Y.) (April 3), Chestnut Hill College (April 6), Nyack College (April 12), Felician University (April 17) and Caldwell University (April 25). Concordia travels to Jefferson University (Mar. 23), Post (Mar. 29), Dominican (April 4), Nyack (April 10), Wilmington University (Del.) (April 13), Caldwell (April 23) and Goldey-Beacom College (April 27) during league play.

The 2019 CACC Baseball Championship begins on Saturday, May 4 with the top-four teams from the CACC North and South Division facing off in a play-in game, with the double-elimination championship taking place over Thursday, May 9 and Saturday, May 11.

Concordia finished the 2018 campaign with a 20-26 overall record, going 16-16 in league play and advancing to the opening round of the CACC Baseball Championship.
