Clippers Baseball Falls at Felician

LYNDHURST, N.J. – The Concordia Clippers baseball team traveled to Felician University for a lone Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Falcons would overpower Concordia as the home team took a 25-5 win.

Felician scored 19 runs over the first three innings as the Clippers trailed 19-0 before scoring four runs in the top of the fourth. Freshman Hermes Abreu (Bayshore, N.Y.) recorded two RBIs with his triple while senior Joseph Davide (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Abreu also scored in the inning.

The Golden Falcons added a lone run in the sixth and five more runs in the seventh to lead 25-4. Concordia's final run came in the eighth as sophomore Kendell Luquis (New Rochelle, N.Y.) recorded an RBI.

Sophomore Joseph Impeduglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) was tagged with the loss for the Clippers as he allowed nine earned runs on 10 hits in an inning. The bullpen combined to allow 13 earned runs on 21 hits while striking out 10 batters in the remaining 7.0 innings.

Concordia (19-22, 15-13 CACC) will return home tomorrow to host Post University in their final home games of the regular season.
