Women's and Men's Tennis head for NCAA East Regionals while Softball and Baseball seek CACC Championships

The Clippers Women's and Men's Tennis Teams will be heading to the NCAA Division II East Regionals this weekend while the Softball and Baseball Teams head into the CACC Tournament.

The Women's Tennis team, who qualified for the NCAA East Regional Tournament back in the fall, finished their season wtih a 15-1 overall record.  The Clippers represent the CACC as they were perfect in the conference with an 8-0 record and claimed their first Championship back in October.  The Clippers will turn to Cristina Oliveira and Ola Roberts to lead them back to the National tournament. 

The Women's Tennis Team starts their regional this Thursday, May 6th as they will play CACC foe Holy Family University on the campus of Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts. 

The Men's Tennis team, qualified for the NCAA East Regional Tournament just a few weeks ago as they too captured their first CACC Championship.  The Clippers went 22-3 so far this season with a perfect CACC record of 12-0 while winning their last 10 matches.  With Alex Grubin and Andrey Boldarev leading the way, the Clippers look to head back to the National Tournament and back to the final four.

The Clippers first challenge will be on Thursday, May 6th as they play Adelphi University on the campus of Queens College in Queens, New York.

The Clippers Softball team has reached its first CACC Tournament as they went 20-15 overall and 17-9 in the CACC.  The team is the third team to reach 20 wins this season (baseball and men's tennis are the others).  The team will enter the double elimination tournament as the #6 seed. 

With Alexa Rosella, Jaime Lorenzo and the rest of the Clippers set to face off in their first tournament they will have to get past the #3 seed of Georgian Court University first.  The tournament starts up on Thursday, May 6th on the campus of Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ.  The Clippers first game will start at 12:00pm on field #2.

The Clippers Baseball team entered the CACC tournament after two bottom of the ninth wins over Bloomfield College.  The Clippers are the only team in the CACC to defeat each of the other teams in the conference at least once in conference play.  The team enters the tournament with a 28-21 overall record and a 12-8 record in the CACC. 

The Clippers, seeded #4 in the tournament, will have to face off against #5 seed Post University in a play in game.  The game will be Tuesday, May 4th as the Clippers will host Post University for the 2:00pm game.  The winner will advance to the double elimination round of the tournament held down in Wilmington, Delaware this Thursday through Saturday, May 6th - 8th.
