Introducing the “New Wave”

Integrated training for the way you live.

At the Fitness Center and across the country, there is a shift toward functional, integrated training, and conditioning. This so-called “New Wave” focuses on training movement rather than body-building. To have great posture, strength, and stabilizing muscles in a balanced environment without pain or discomfort, is to be functionally fit.

Functional integrated training uses exciting and fun modalities such as the physioball, medicine ball, free weight dumbbells, and a variety of challenging balancing equipment.  The goal is to make an imprint of the central nervous system to determine how your muscles operate with each other to produce smooth, linked movement and develop strength, while rehabilitating and preventing injury. Additional benefits prepare you for recreational training putting each part of you body in sync, enabling each segment to function for your every day needs.
