Travis Blair was elevated to the position of Head Coach of the Concordia College New York women’s soccer program on August 1, 2020, Director of Athletics and Student Life Kathy Laoutaris ’93 announced. 

Arriving to Concordia during the 2016 season as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer teams, Blair spent the last three seasons working solely with the women’s program and helped the Clippers put together their best season since joining the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) during the 2019 campaign.

“We are very excited to have Travis take on the head coaching position,” Laoutaris said. “We look forward to seeing the Clippers on the field this Spring.”

A native of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., Blair played collegiately at Wheaton (Mass.) where he finished second all-time in school history with goals (50) and points (119). Travis helped lead his team to a New England Women's and Men's Conference (NEWMAC) title in 2013 and an NCAA berth during in 2013 and 2014 while earning National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) DIII All-America status in 2014.

Additionally, Blair was a named to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team in 2011 and named to the NEWMAC All-Conference First Team in 2012, 2013, and 2014 while honored as Wheaton's Chad Yowell Male Athlete of the Year in 2014.

Having been with the group I know how much potential is in this squad and can’t wait to get started.
